Mul Mantra

This mantra was given by ascended master, Guru Nanak who encourages us to remember our true nature of collective oneness. According to Kundalini Yoga Traditions, Mul Mantra can be loosely translated as:

Ek Ong Kar - I am one with all that is
Sat Nam - Truth is my name
Karta Purakh - I am the doer of everything
Nirbhau - I am fearless
Nirvair - I am without vengeance
Akal murat - I am deathless
Ajooni - I am infinite
Saibhang - I am self existent
Gur prasad - This knowing is a blessing that sets me free
Jap - Meditate
Aad sach - I am before time
Jugad sach - I am throughout all the ages
Hai bhi sach - I am forever true
Nanak hosi bhi sach - I am true now

Whenever I hear this mantra, I am instantly filled with red hot, root chakra revitalization. Our root chakra is weakened by insecurity & fear. The antidote to this imbalance is Truth. Truth is a fierce love of eternal compassion & courage to live without worry of death & limiting timelines. This mantra gives us a window into the infinite interconnection we experience when we become aware of our Source of existence.

Practice this mantra to awaken to your personal rooted assurance & reconnect to the collective consciousness. I personally love Snatam Kaur’s version of this mantra and there are various forms out there to assist you in your practice. This mantra pairs well with Muladhara & Pran Mudra.
